beginner/ Intermediate PDF Photo tutorial for this gorgeous African Flower Summer Crop Top.

You will need to know the basics of crochet- magic circle, chain, slip-stitch, single crochet and double crochet.

The PDF is very detailed and is 16 pages long! Perfect for tablet/ iPad users you can zoom in if you need to. Both colour photos and written instructions are included along with a joining method! I am using US crochet terms.

I have used a 4mm hook, cotton yarn from hobbii and drops in the 8/4 thinner size however you are free to change it up and use whatever yarns and hook size you need.
I am a UK size 8 and included are the measurements I have used but I give you instructions on how to make it for your body size. Not always easy and requires patience when making many African flower hexagons but if you have had any experience making granny squares then this should be a great fun project for you to try!

It becomes very relaxing crocheting these flowers and the pattern is easy to memorise once you have made one or two. The ends and tucked in as you go so really there isn’t a lot of weaving in at the end, they seem to stay in more securely than standard granny squares which is very pleasing! I just cut the ends off at the end, not too much work to do!
