African Flowers Patchwork Blanket is a Granny Square Crochet Pattern is packed with random colored flower granny squares. This new afghan pattern is inspired by South African flowers, it consists of eight different granny squares, four large square patterns, and four small square patterns. I love crazy bold colors and this crochet blanket is made for color, if you wish to tone it down you can always just color flowers and use one or two lighter tones for the borders of each block.
Blankets can easily be resized by using more or fewer squares.
Example blanket is made out of 12 large squares and 52 small granny squares.

This pattern has per-round images of each finished round.
Large flowers also have a stitch diagram/chart to assist in working each round. The joy of such a flower granny squares blanket is that you learn a square once and thereafter it just repetition.

Example blankets are done in 100% cotton, but any yarn of your choice can be used. Thinner yarn will tend to make smaller blocks and heavier yarns will tend to have larger blocks.

The pattern is written in US Terminology, and a 3,5 mm hook is used to obtain each square size.

Gauge is not important as long as you stick with the same yarn size and crochet hook throughout your project.
