From ‘Knitting Out of Africa’: “Inspired by the small flashes of white visible on the backsides of leaping antelopes, the fronts of this kimono-style cardigan feature patterned panels that build around small white squares. The back of the cardigan features a mitered chevron pattern that is worked in a combination of garter stitch and stockinette stitch.

In this pullover version of the cardigan, the same two-color, mitered garter-stitch chevron pattern is used on both the front and back. The patterned panels are worked from the lower edge to the shoulder. The front and back are joined at the shoulders, then stitches are picked up along the edges and worked outward for the tapered side panels and sleeves. The stand-up collar follows the shape of the mitered pattern at the front neck.”

There are two colours used in this design – Main colour (MC) and Contrasting colour (CC).
