From the moment your needles start moving, Afterglow pulls you in.

Simple yet striking—it has the perfect balance of simplicity and intrigue to keep you reaching for it again and again.

Using worsted-weight yarn, it’s warm and squishy in all the right ways. You work this triangle shawl diagonally with a lace chevron on stockinette stitch and a picot bind-off.

The lace chevron is simple enough to relax into, but with just the right amount of interest to keep you engaged. As the shawl starts unfolding, it’s impossible to put down. Before you know it, you’ll be saying, “Just one more row,” and suddenly, you’re almost done.

YARN
Two skeins of Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage (100% Merino wool; 182 m / 200 yds per skein). Shown in colour Tart.

Or approximately 364 m / 400 yds of similar worsted-weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size 5 mm / US 8 needles or size to achieve pattern gauge

Although you work this shawl flat, I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.

FINISHED SIZE After blocking
Width: 178 cm / 70 in
Depth: 86 cm / 34 in

The pattern includes instructions for making the lace section bigger or smaller, so you can easily adjust the size of your shawl.
