These fingerless mitts/wristwarmers are inspired by the colours and movement of the northern lights (aurora borealis) and were made to match the Afterglow Hat. They use small amounts of 4 colours as well as two balls of the main background colours. They are fantastic for using different bits of colours left over from other larger projects and for experimenting with different colour blending. The pattern is fully edited and contains a combination of easy to read charts and written instructions. The cuff involves a mock ribbing (no stitches need to leave the needles!) and the thumb is worked using an ‘afterthought’ technique which is explained fully in the pattern instructions.
