I feel like this pattern is building a better mousetrap. Subtle touches are throughout, such as the pockets being picked up along the edge to create a nice, flat seam, reversible collar patterns and tension changes so pockets do not sag. Because the two sides of this shawl are different width, thinner people will chose the narrower side to put the pockets close to center while larger people will reverse the shawl and put the wider edge next to their neck.
