This bath robe is based on an adult one I saw many years ago that was pleated. Just had to see if I could create one for the AGD!

While I used Herrschners 2-ply Afghan Yarn, any similar yarn works well. Especially the self-striping baby yarns! Those look fantastic!

I used a I-Cord for the belt, but a ribbon works also. Or just chain a belt and leave the ends as a tassel. Have fun deciding what your “little girl” likes.

This top down pattern only has seams under the arms. I like to leave the last stitch from the bind off and place it on a crochet hook and then slip stitch the seam closed from the inside. And then that last loop on the hook is the stitch that needs to be picked up under the arm. You just knit across the back and do the second sleeve. You have the effectively eliminated about 4 ends to weave in!

Many thanks to Liz. P. for testing this pattern for me. She did one in a lovely purple yarn!

Thank you for choosing my pattern.
