The yards range so drastically because this specific one I made is double sided, the pattern still works for one sided, and you wouldn’t have to make a seam. I used eggplant, black, white, and a relatively “washed out” purple and yellow. the length is up to you so long as you make sure both sides from the eye are even. the scarf in the photos is 8 feet long. Keep in mind that if you are doing double sided, it’s going to be very warm, heavy, and very thick. also keep in mind if using alpaca, you probably have to get rid of all the fuzz from everywhere thoroughly.
