The Agnes Sweater is a drop shoulder top down sweater in a chunky texture with the lines framing the seams. The back piece is worked flat while simultaneously increasing for the shoulder slopes. Then stitches are picked up from the edge of the back piece for the shoulders and the neckline before joining for the front. When the yoke is done, the back and the front pieces are joined at underarm and body is worked in the round. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armhole then worked in the round with decreases. The neck band is worked by ribbing in the round and then bound off using a stretchy method. After the band is folded in half and sewed, it is finished by inserting an elastic thread.

The Agnes Sweater requires cast on, knit and purl stitches, brioche stitch (brioche knit, sl1yo), increases (M1L, M1R), decreases (k2tog, ssk), picking up stitches, double knitting and tubular bind off.
