I was lucky to find a number of balls of this acrylic tweed yarn at a local thrift store, and they sat around for quite some time until I realized that they needed to become a scarf. I found a simple knit/purl motif that was easy to knit (especially while watching TV) and this scarf is the result. The motif has an angled rise of purl stitches against the knit background, so I called this Ahebbende which means “rising” in Old English.
Note - this is quite a wide scarf, as that’s the style I prefer. To make a narrower scarf, remove a repeat or two of the motif across the scarf.
Difficulty - Easy
Skills used - Knit, purl
