A simple but classic baby or toddler’s vest, crocheted in a combination of hdc and sc; very easy and very quick to make. Looks great over a long-sleeved T-shirt or hoodie T-shirt.

To fit: 6-12 Months; 12-18 months, 18-24 months; Chest: 18, (20, 21)“; Actual Chest Measurement: 20, (22, 23)”; Length, Shoulder to Hem: 11, (11.5, 12, )“; Neckline: 5, (6, 6.5)” width; armholes 4.5, (5, 5.5)”.

Materials: 1.5 100g skeins worsted weight yarn; I used Stylecraft Special Aran in Colour “Lipstick” (Colour A) and with oddments of Stylecraft Special in “Camel” (Colour B) as a contrast for the red sweater and Stylecraft Special in “Aster” and “Silver” for the blue sweater; 4mm hook; yarn needle.

Gauge: 12 sts, 14 rows hdc & sc in alternate combination with 4mm hook = 4”
