ist ein Ajourmuster für luftige Sommersocken aus Sockenwolle mit Baumwolle. Die Lace Zöpfe bringen zusätzliche Weite, da das Garn mit Baumwolle etwas dünner, als die klassische Sockenwolle ist. Am besten kommt es mit einfarbigen oder sanft marmorierten Garn zur Geltung.

Wenn die Socken mit klassischer 75/25 Sockenwolle gestrickt werden, sollte eine halbe Nadelstärke weniger, oder je Hälfte mit 2 Maschen weniger gestrickt werden, damit sie nicht zu weit werden. Wer kein Freund von Ajourmustern ist, der kann die Umschläge verschränkt stricken um ein dichtes Maschenbild zu erhalten.

Air is a lace pattern for summer socks with sock yarn with cotton. The lace cables brings some extra width, because the yarn with cotton is slightly thinner than the classic sock yarn. It looks best with semisolid or gently marbled yarn.

If the socks are knitted with classic 75/25 sock yarn, you should use a half needle less, or knit at each half with 2 stitches less, so they will not be too big. If you don’t like lace pattern on socks, you can knit the yarn over through the back loop.
