AKI skirt
“The simplistic elegance of the AKI skirt makes it easy to incorporate into your hand-knitted wardrobe.
With a slight A-line shape and designed to fit around the hips the skirt is finished off with a broad ribbed hem, that can be either blocked out to accentuate the A-line shape or left unblocked for a slight balloon-shaped design. Style this skirt with oversize shirts and jumpers, and you will feel fabulous.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE: The skirt is designed to fit around the hips, so choose a size with finished hip measurements 2-5 cm / 1-2” bigger than your body hip measurement. The length of the skirt is the same for all sizes and is based on a 168-170 cm / 5.51-5.58 feet tall person. However, as the skirt is worked top down the final length can easily be adjusted. Check the size chart (downloadable as an appendix to this pattern) for details.
