Materials:
- fingering weight yarn in two contrasting colors: 800meters of dark, and 800m of light. You can use different colors for each panel if you like. I strongly recommend to use tight-spun yarn that does not split.
For the prototype shown, I used 400g of Malabrigo sock yarn; 200 g of Oro and 100g of each Cote D Azure and Whales Road.
- circular needles 4.5mm wide with the wire long enough to accommodate 1000+ sts (at the edge.)
Gauge: 22sts X 28rows = 10cm in garter.
Size: unblocked, this shawl is closer to 3/4 of a circle with 75cm radius. I expect it to stretch after washing by 5-10cm in radius.
ERRATA: R3 on p 8 should read: sl1, sl1, (kyok, sl1), p1.
