work in the round (continuous spirals. I like circular knitting needles, they make things simpler.)
increases (invisible or otherwise), decreases
stitches: knit, purl, cabling, knit to back, yarn over
sew openings close, sew parts together (join parts)

Soft, smooth acrylic worsted weight yarn
Or Wool Worsted Weight Yarn
(5) Size #6 double pointed needles
OR (1) Size #6 sixteen-inch circular knitting needles

Darning Needle
