I love everything about these socks, the beautiful and elastic cuff edge, the eye-catching and engaging Celtic stitch pattern, the Spiral toe, and the Anatomical heel that follows the shape of the heel exactly. The other bonus of this kind of heel is that you don’t have to pick up any stitches!!!!!!!!!!

In this pattern, you can learn or practice how to cast on using the beautiful, flexible Channel Island Cast-on technique for 1x1 ribbing, and how to create the not-so-common Anatomical heel and Spiral toe. The toe is gathered at the end, so there is no need for any pesky Kitchener stitch.

Yarn / Yardage

• 2 skeins of Lang Jawoll yarn, in Brick 83.0215 colourway, 75% superwash virgin wool, 25% nylon, approx. 50 g / 210 m / 230 yds per skein;
• or approx. 270 (300, 328) m / 295 (328, 359) yds of fingering or sock weight yarn that gives you gauge. Yardage includes 15% of extra yarn. Please note that size and yardage will be affected when making any adjustments on the socks.

Needles
2.5 mm / US 1.5 or size needed to obtain gauge.
Sample made using 80 cm / 32” long circular needle, however choose the length according to your preference.

• o aprox. 270 (300, 328) m / 295 (328, 359) yd de un hilo de grosor fingering / sock con la que consigas la tensión adecuada. El cálculo de consumos incluye un 15% extra. Por favor, ten en cuenta que estos cálculos pueden variar si decides hacer ajustes en el patrón.

Agujas
2.5 mm / US 1.5 o el grosor necesario para obtener la tensión correcta.
