Alaria is knit lengthwise, with dropped yarn overs forming columns recalling kelp forests. The pattern is a repeat of 5 stitches, and length can be changed by adding or subtracting stitches in mul- tiples of 5. The width can be changed by adding rows, but additional yardage will be needed.
