A beautiful pair of cabled mittens to match the Alary Hat
These Mittens are knitted in the round from the bottom of the cuff to the top of the mitten. A beautiful cable pattern adorns one side of the mitten, while the sts across the palms are worked in Reverse Stockinette Stitch.
Instructions for the cable pattern are both written and charted.
Sizes:
Finished circumference at palm:
(6, 7, 8, 9)”/ (15, 18, 20, 23)cm
Yarn Requirements:
Malabrigo Rios (100% Superwash Merino; 210 yds/100g) Color: 035 Frank Ochre 1-hank
Approximately (100, 135, 170, 200) yds of worsted weight yarn.
Needles:
Size 6 (4 mm) Dpns (or preferred needles for small circumference knitting)
Size 5 (3.75 mm) Dpns (or preferred needles for small circumference knitting)
Or sizes needed to obtain gauge
Gauge:
28 sts & 32 rows per 4”/10cm over cabled stitch pattern, with larger sized needles, after blocking.
20 sts & 28 rows per 4”/10cm over Stockinette Stitch, with larger sized needles, after blocking.
