Albright Socks
Welcome to The Film Sock Society in which we will celebrate our love for sock knitting and films.
This is the second volume in the Sock Society series, a collection featuring three different new sock patterns inspired by three of my favorite characters in cinema: Miss Kenton (The Remains of the Day), Sally Albright (When Harry Met Sally), and Laura Jesson (Brief Encounter).
I hope you enjoy creating cozy socks from these patterns, and perhaps feel tempted to watch the films if you haven’t yet. Happy knitting! From January 2nd 2025, I will be hosting a knit-a-long on my Ravelry forum. Please, join us!
Albright Socks
The first socks of the collection are a pair of thick house socks inspired by the lovely chunky Aran sweaters worn by Sally Albright in When Harry Met Sally. They feature a cable motive, a super comfortable heel, and a perfectly adjusted leg! The Albright Socks are utterly fun to knit and pretty quick on the needles, too.
