Finished bust: 81 (91.5, 99, 109, 117, 124.5) cm / 32 (36, 39, 43, 46, 49)” – to be worn with at least 0-2.5 cm / 0-1” negative ease
Model has 86.5 cm / 34” bust, measures 160 cm / 5’3” tall and is wearing size 1.
Yarn: Madelinetosh Dandelion (4ply/Fingering weight; 90% Merino, 10% Linen, 297 m / 325 yds per skein)
Shade: Mica; 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 5) skeins
Gauge: 18.5 sts & 30 rows = 10 cm / 4” over stocking stitch
Needles: 3 mm / US 2½ circular needle, 60-80 cm / 24-32” length
3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle, 60-80 cm / 24-32” length
3 mm / US 2½ DPNS or circular needle suitable for working small circumferences in the round for the sleeves
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 2 stitch markers, stitch holders, smooth waste yarn for provisional cast on
Notes: Alcomar is worked from the top down using a contiguous method, with short-row shoulder and neckline shaping. Body shaping is created with sets of decreases and increases. The top front and back are worked flat to the underarm, and then they are joined and worked in the round.
