My “ALERCES” cowl is knitted in the round. You can work it with bulky yarn to make it stiff (as I did), which will make it perfect for winter nights. It will cover you up to the nose like a shield!
Of course, you can also make it using aran or worsted yarn if you prefer your cowl to have more drape :)
