A cardigan for babies and toddlers that is equally suitable for boys and girls. A lovely texture stitch helps the sweater be warm and interesting (yet easy) to knit. This cardigan was the favorite of my youngest child and was knit in several sizes as she grew.

Sweater is knit in one piece from the bottom up to the armholes, and then separately up to the shoulders. Sleeves are knit separately and then sewn in. Buttonband is knit at the same time as the cardigan body, with the neckband added after body is completed.
