The Alex Cardigan is a simple top down raglan accented with striped garter stitch edgings and patch pockets.
The button bands are knitted at the same time and instructions are given for left and right buttonholes for either a boy or girl.

The pattern is suitable for the advanced beginner to intermediate knitter who has a little experience in seamless knitting.

Finished Chest Measurements: 46 (51, 56) cm/ 18 (20, 22) inches.
Age: approx. 0-6 (6-12, 12-18) months
Choose a size to knit based on chest measurements plus between 5 to 10cm / 2 to 4 inches of ease.

Two contrast colours are used in the garter edgings. Only a small amount of yarn is required so is ideal for using up some left-over yarn from other projects.
