Alex Hat Chemo Beanie
It was brought to my attention that the Sun Hat for Alex I made would make an excellent sun hat for chemo patients. I had a request to include an adult size to my pattern for just that reason. I did so, and as I was whipping up the sun hat, I decided to play around and do a little augmenting and turn it into a beanie.
This beanie can be used in the spring, summer or fall. It features the same shell stitch as the Sun Hat for Alex, but doesn’t have the brim; instead this has a pretty scalloped edge. Make it with cotton for those warm months or with a wool or a wool-blend worsted weight yarn for those cooler temperatures. I love the way this hat turned out.
This pattern is written for toddlers 1-3 (18″-19″), children 4-10 (19″-21″), and female adult (21″-23″).
This pattern has been tested, however if you should come across any mistakes, please do not hesitate to comment or send me a message, after all…we’re only human!
