Alexander the Baby Elephant
10/11 -- By request, I’ve activated my Alexander pattern again. I AM going to have an improved updated version of the pattern available as soon as possible - life keeps getting in my way! LOL! But several people wanted him now - so the pattern is active again. Once I have the ‘improved’ version done, anyone who buys the ‘plain-jane’ text file now, will receive the updated version.
PLEASE NOTE -- this is just a simple text file of instructions -- very plain-jane ordinary text file. But totally workable. New version will include photos & some of my tips about ear placement, etc.
I designed Alexander in 2007 for a friend who loved elephants, when I couldn’t find an elephant pattern at that time that I really liked. I’d distributed the pattern for a little while on another site I had - but I’ve been wanting to get him over here to Ravelry, so here he is!!!
Alexander is an easy project, he can be made with a variety of different yarns, and he is fairly quick to complete.
He takes roughly 2 oz of regular worsted-weight yarn - yardage might vary depending on what you use.
PDF file will be re-done with more photos soon - but the instructions are easy to follow - the folks who tested the pattern for me had no problems at all. The pattern is just sort of ‘plain’ in appearance without a lot of fancy photos or extras - just straight-forward stitching instructions.
Hope you enjoy stitching him as much as I did!
