These great socks were inspired by my little sister’s trip to California. Her beautiful pictures of the beach and waves made me want to knit her a pair of socks that she could wear when she was no longer at the beach, and had to return to the cold Canadian winter. The overlapping waves lace pattern that is used for these socks bring you to the beach. The slight twist of the stitches adds a fun detail to the leg of the sock.
This fun and quick knit is a great project to keep the summer memories going into the fall and winter months.

A note on size: These socks were knit for my sister and her small feet. To make a larger size, (they do run tight so if you usually find a 64 stitch sock tight, please go up a size) add a repeat of the lace pattern and cast on 72 or 78 stitches.

This pattern has not been test knit, therefore I am making it available for free for the time being. Once I am happy with the instructions and it has been knit by a few people, I will attach a small fee for this pattern ($1.00).
