These placemats are a quick knit with yarn held doubled. There are 4 patterns in all, each worked with a seed stitch border. One skein of BSA Dyed (or Organic) Cotton makes one placemat.

The washing instructions on the skein say hand wash but I have machine washed mine and they are a titch smaller but none the worse for wear.

Spiral Columns Pattern Errata:
Row 7: (k1, p1) twice, k2, p5, (k3, p5) across to last 7 stitches k2, (p1, k1) twice, p1
