This is a quick and simple to knit hat available in 4 sizes from toddler to adult, knit in aran weight yarn, suitable for a beginner knitter.

The cast on edge and the pompom are worked in a contrast yarn.
The 2 x 2 ribbing makes the folded cuff nice and stretchy, enabling it to fit a wide range of head sizes. The cuff can also be adjusted to give greater or lesser depth if needed.

The main body of the hat is worked in granite stitch - a super easy stitch to work. It gives the hat a lovely texture as well as adding loft to make it warm and cosy.

Instructions are given for both knitting flat and in the round. Just choose whichever method you prefer.
