Alfa
Alfa is a little kerchief-style cowl. This design combines plain garter stitch with good details: perpendicular lines, exposed faux seams, and i-cord finishing.
This project requires both knitting flat and in the round! One thing to note: this is a loose-fitting cowl when knit at gauge. The .PDF includes some brief ideas about customization, if you’d prefer a more fitted neckwarmer.
Materials:
About 215-265 yards of Beach Bunny Yarns Ocean, Malabrigo Yarns Sock, or a similar substitute yarn
1 36” circular needle in US3/3.25mm, or size needed for gauge
2 DPNs in the same size, to be used for i-cord bindoff
Tapestry needle
Gauge:
Gauge is 25 sts and 52 rows over 4”/10cm in blocked garter stitch, worked flat. Please be sure to check your gauge.
