Alfonsine Hat is a timeless and elegant lace hat worked in top-down construcion. It is a perfect accessory to every womens‘ wardrobe. Classic and modern. Chic and comfy.

About 55g (220m/240yd) of sock weight yarn (100g/400m/437yd), I used Malabrigo Sock (color Tiziano Red)

6x Stitch markers (one special to mark beginning of the row)
Crochet hook for casting on
Tapestry needle to binding off and weaving the ends
Needles
Circular needles or DPN 2.5mm (US 1.5) or 2.75mm (US 2) for ribbing
Circular needles and/or DPN 3mm (US 2.5)
Size
One female size, fit to head circumference about 54-58 cm (21 – 23“). You can change the size slightly by changing your needle for bigger or smaller.
Gauge
27 sts and 42 rows per 10cm (4”) in the pattern on bigger needles (3mm, US 2.5) after blocking.
