Alice Bag
This bag is named after my fun-loving great-aunt - she had a reputation for always being the first person to be up dancing and singing at any gathering.
This petite bag has a garter stitch border and the back is knitted in fine stripes. It is lined with a piece of vintage fabric and has wooden handles and a magnetic snap fastener on the inside.
This pattern uses knit and purl stitches and colour work with 2 or 3 different colours in each line. It also requires basic sewing skills.
Finished Size: The knitted part of the bag measures approximately 23 cm tall x 22 cm wide.
Yarn: 4 x 50g balls of Knitpicks Palette Fingering/4 ply weight. We used 1 ball each of Almond (A), Serpentine (B), Currant (C) and Raspberry Heather (D).
Needles: A pair of 3.0 mm needles (UK 11) (US 2.5)
