This hat makes a fast project and is a great introduction to crochet colourwork techniques. It is gorgeously soft and warm, making it perfect for keeping you toasty in the Autumn and Winter months. Named after my sister Alice for her love of all things comfy and cosy, this hat is a fab quick project for a Christmas gift, guaranteed to be loved by all!

This pattern uses the deliciously soft Fine Aran by Libby Summers, and is available in two sizes, child and teen/adult. Please note that the child size is slightly longer to accommodate the diamond pattern.

This hat is crocheted in the round from crown to rim and the colourwork is achieved using the stranded Fair Isle technique whereby the yarn is trailed across the back when not in use.
