This hooded cardigan is worked from the bottom up with a front buttonband flanked by a classic cable pattern that is mirrored up the back.

Yarn Weight 4
Finished Size 33 (37, 41, 45, 49, 53)“ bust circumference, buttoned. Cardigan shown measures 33”; modeled with 1” of negative ease.
Yarn O-Wool Local (50% alpaca, 50% certified organic merino; 240 yd 219 m/31/2 oz 100 g): bluebell, 5 (5, 6, 6, 6, 7) skeins.
Needles Size 9 (5.5 mm): 32” circular (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle; seven 1” buttons.
Gauge 16 sts and 25 rows = 4” in St st; 10-st right or left cable = 1 ¼ “ wide.
