Alice The 2nd is a colour-block knitted pillow cover/case pattern, own design by Blue Balloon Atelier. The pattern looks great on it’s own but also goes well with other Alice designs, as they complement each other really well.
It uses intarsia and a bit of fair-isle technic, but can be done in intarsia only. Although due to intarsia technic the pattern is for a intermediate knitter, you only need to have the knowledge of :

1. knit stitches (K)
2. purl stitches (P)
3. cast on
4. cast off (bind off)

This is a digital PDF pattern, an instant download pattern.

The size of a finished pillowcase is 40x40 cm 16x16 inch, but with slightly different yarns then used for this sample, and different knitting tension, you may get a slightly different result.

Deramores Studio Chunky Acrylic was used to create this pattern.
Although on the Deramores website 9mm needles are recommended for this yarn, 7mm needles give much stronger and less likely to stretch final product, which is preferable for pillowcases, as they get a lot of wear].
You may choose other suggested yarns, as they have similar gauge to Deramores.

To finish the project off you will also need: 2 large buttons, a tapestry needle, a crochet hook to help with loose yarn ends and scissors.

The PDF pattern booklet has the colour chart for the pillowcase as well, as tips and pictures, helping you to finish this project.

1 x LPK light pink Deramores - salmon
1 x AQ aqua Deramores ORN orange Deramores - burnt orange
