ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Alírio Worsted is a heavy-weight version of the Alírio hat, a super fast cable hat pattern that knits up in no time. Worked in the round from brim to crown, the pattern comes in sizes for the whole family.
The Alírio hat was designed as a farewell gift to my friend Alírio, one of the very first people I met when I came to Chile. Laid back, funny and always so welcoming, he is a dear friend that will be missed greatly now that he is out to take on the world in his new adventures!

1 (2, 3) 4, 5 to fit a head with 32.5 (40, 47.5) 52.5, 57.5 cm/13 (16, 19) 21, 23“ circumference.

YARDAGE

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
5.5 mm/US 9 circular needles with 40 cm/16” cable length, or size needed to obtain gauge;
5.5 mm/US 9 small circular needles, double pointed needles, or preferred method for knitting small circumferences in-the-round, or size needed to obtain gauge.

NOTIONS
blocking tools of your preference, cable needle, row counter (recommended), scissors, stitch markers (one in a contrast color), tapestry needle.

GAUGE
9 stitches and 11 rounds in 5 cm/2” squares after blocking in 2 x 2 rib (unstretched).

El gorro Alírio Worsted es una versión con hilado más grueso del gorro Alírio, un patrón de cables divertido que se teje en poco tiempo. Trabajado en circular desde el elástico hasta la coronilla, el patrón viene en tamaños para toda la familia.
El sombrero Alírio fue diseñado como regalo de despedida para mi amigo Alírio, una de las primeras personas que conocí cuando vine a Chile. Relajado, divertido y siempre tan acogedor, es un querido amigo al que echaremos mucho de menos ahora que sale a conquistar el mundo en sus nuevas aventuras.
