A knitted cowl that can be worn as a decorative piece and as a comforter to keep you cosy and snug. This design is knitted to create a banded striped effect portraying a different lace texture in each band. The cowl can be worn as a shoulder warmer, neck warmer or snood. The design can be lengthened offering a double wrap over look if prefer, a truly versatile piece.

The photo shows the single length cowl, which is 80cm (31.5”) around. The gauge is based on the stocking(ettte) stitch tension. This item can be knitted to a longer length if preferred. If knitted to double the length, it would allow for “Double Wrap Around” resulting in a statement piece of a stunning and lavish cowl/shoulder shawl. To achieve this finish, either repeat the entire instructions a second time, or double the length of each of the panels. The finished length would then be 160cm (63”).

Materials: King Cole 4 ply merino wool blend 175g or 350g 180m/204yds per 50g
