The ‘All About Me Cowl’ is All About You!
Each cowl will be unique to the knitter, as it uses your INITIALS and your BIRTHDAY to determine how your cowl will look.

The pattern contains 26 different textured patterns, one for every letter of the alphabet. There are also 12 different lace patterns for each of the 12 months of the year. Also included are different instructions based on whether or not your birth year and birth date are even, or odd numbers.

This pattern is great if you are knitting gifts for others, as all cowls will be personalized. Or, better yet, knit one for yourself!

I have included photos for all the patterns, written instructions for all the textured patterns and both written and charted instructions for the lace section.

Materials Needed:

Yarn:

• 3 colours of Fingering weight yarn, 50 grams each. For my cowl I used Colour Adventures Cashmere Sock in Moss, Birch and Mink. Kits are available from A Twist of Yarn and you can shop the available colour options when you click the link below.

• 3.50mm needles on a 16” cord

Gauge:

• 27sts / 4”
