This shawl shape was inspired by the Cylon Raiders of Battlestar Galactica. You can choose to add little raiders in the middle section of the shawl for a bit of texture and interest. Short rows are used to make the points longer, emphasizing the shape and making the shawl easier to wear. Tweed or glitter yarn can give it a galaxy look.

Yarn
1 skein of fingering weight yarn.

Sample used 370m (405yds) of The Fox and the Knight - Asteria Tweed, 85% Superwash Merino/15% Viscose, with 400m (437yds) per 100 gram.

Gauge
20 stitches x 40 rows per 4”/10cm in blocked garter stitch.

Gauge isn’t critical, but will affect finished measurements and total yardage.
The pattern gives an indication of the percentage of yarn needed to finish the shawl.
