Its name tells everything ! This is the kind of garment you’d like to have always nearby, almost all the time. It will soon become an essential, especially if, like me, you are always chilly.

With a casual look, open fronts and a straight shape, this cardigan puts comfort at its best. And most of it: it has pockets!

It’s worked in one piece, top down without seams (except the ones to close the pockets, but it’s on the wrong side, and really a piece of cake). If the sleeves and back are knitted in stocking stitch, the fronts feature a really simple cable pattern that gives just enough of texture.

On the yarn side, the hand-dyed version of Gilliatt, by La Bien Aimée, brings an additional touch of sophistication to this base that I really like.

Son nom veut tout dire ! C’est la pièce qu’on aime avoir à portée de main à peu près tout le temps. Elle devient vite un indispensable, surtout pour les frileuses comme moi.

Avec son allure décontractée, ses devants ouverts et sa coupe droite, ce gilet met le confort à l’honneur. Et surtout : il a des poches !

Il se tricote d’une pièce, du haut vers le bas, sans coutures (sauf celles pour fermer les côtés des poches, mais ça se passe sur l’envers, et c’est vraiment trois fois rien). Si les manches et le dos sont en jersey, les devants sont réhaussés d’un motif de torsade vraiment tout simple, qui apporte juste ce qu’il faut de texture.

Côté fil, la version teinte à la main de Gilliatt, par La Bien Aimée, apporte une touche de sophistication supplémentaire à cette base que j’aime beaucoup.
