All dressed up
This baby sweater is a very simple, easily knitted shape. It is dressed up with fairisle accents. Normally, the floats make fairisle a poor choice for babies but, since they are completely enclosed in this design, they are perfectly safe.

YARN, GAUGE AND MACHINE: Tamm Bebe is an ideal baby yarn. It is soft, durable, washable and moderately priced. The yarn will knit to a gauge of 27 stitches and 38 rows per 4” using a stitch size of 8-9 on Japanese standard machines, 6-7 on Passaps, and 3-5 on midgauge machines, stitch size 1-2 on the bulky Use claw weights as needed at the edges of the work. One cone of main color and a small amount of a contrasting color is needed.
