Top-down, hand-knitted sweater with folded collar, drop shoulders and cables. A unique construction for an all over cable knit starting with the neck rib in the round. The short row neck shaping incorporates the cable pattern from the beginning.

The sweater is seamless, combining consecutive shoulder increases to create the shoulder seams with short rows to shape the front neckline. For the most part the sweater is knitted in the round on circular needles.


The drop shoulder design also allows for a relaxed fit and the overall size has approximately 8” positive ease. In addition the pattern specifies 2 different finished lengths, one a more standard sweater length and the other slightly shorter for a more boxy or slightly cropped look.

Whichever style you opt for results in a contemporary styled classic cable sweater.

Owing to the fact that the sweater has been designed with 8” positive ease many people will fit into multiple sizes. When deciding which size to make my recommendation would be to choose the size based on the amount of positive ease you most prefer. Please refer to the size details below and the schematic in the pattern for actual finished measurements. The XS sizing would be suitable for many young teens.
