Pattern Description from Knitting for Peace: “A soft, ever-present blanket lends peace to kids of all ages in stressful situations. The smaller security blanket … is perfect for a young child or baby; the larger size will comfort a teen.”

“Knit in a modified feather-and-fan stitch, this blanket is pretty and extremely easy to complete--the entire pattern consists of three rows, two of which involve straight knitting or purling. These blankets are sure to be well-loved and well-used by kids, so be sure to choose a machine-washable yarn. If you’re unsure about a yarn’s washability, knit a swatch, then run it through the washer and dryer to see if it will work.”

Yarn: Approximately 875 (1450) yards washable worsted-weight yarn. Sample in book shown in Brown Sheep Company Cotton Fleece (80% cotton/20% merino wool).
