All Season Potholders
As a follow up on my Autumn Potholders I decided to make an all-round season pattern. So here it is - All Season Potholders. The motifs are very classic, and the color choices can turn them into a seasonal item for your kitchen. I decided to use black as my contrasting color in the 3 first prototypes with the main color as the frame. I will absolutely make another pair of striped potholders in white and red as a seasonal item for next Christmas.
Very important pattern information - this pattern is not written by a big business or a professional writer. It is written with my own words driven by a passion for knitting, crafting and writing. If you have any questions, please just ask. I check my messages and emails several times every week.
I use double strand of heavy fingering/ sport weight cotton yarn in the prototypes. It feels like a more solid fabric than one strand of heavy DK cotton yarn. I think it is because the two strands twine a bit when you knit it up. The most important thing is to choose a yarn that can hold the heat. The yarn must not contain any plastics, and cotton is a safe choice.
The potholders are knitted in the round and closed with a crochet edge around it. This is very easy colorwork if you are new to it.
All the techniques have supporting videos on my YouTube channel Knit_tech.
I hope the pattern will result in some colorful accessorize for your kitchen.
As always - if any questions, send me a message here or an email on post@knitary.com.
