All Star Puppy Dog
The All Star Puppy Dog Sweater is knit bottom-up and flat with sleeves in the round. This is a beginner-friendly pattern, though you may encounter several new techniques in this pattern! Please consider bundling this pattern with the All Star Kitty Cat Pattern!
Some techniques you will encounter in this sweater: knitting flat, knitting in the round, intarsia, decrease stitches, tubular bind off, three-needle bind off, mattress stitch, picking up, duplicate stitch, and some embroidery techniques (explained in pattern).
Sizing
Finished sweater circumference:
32 (36) 40 (44) 48 (52) 56 (60) 64 inches.
Ease is not included in the finished sweater circumference, so these measurements represent the exact measurement of the finished sweater. I recommend choosing a size that is 3-5 inches larger than your actual bust size to allow for adequate positive ease.
Materials
US 17 (12.0mm) knitting needles- may be flat needles or circular for the body, will need to be able to hold the “width” portion of your size sweater comfortably.
Circular US 17 (12.0mm) knitting needles with 16 inch circumference for sleeves.
Additional materials: tapestry needle, scissors, measuring tape, and stitch markers
Three needles total are needed for the three-needle BO for the shoulders. These may be any kind- circular, flat, or double pointed. Only one needs to be size 17.

Pet face duplicate stitch charts use 3-4 strands of listed worsted-weight yarn.

This sweater starts with the back, which is knit bottom up and flat. The front is also knit in this fashion and includes instructions for adding an intarsia chart, which includes the star and pet face shape of your choice. The front and back are attached together, and the collar and sleeves are added in the round. Details are added to the pet face with duplicate stitch and embroidery techniques explained in the pattern.
