All That Brass
I love patterns that are versatile across seasons. Cardigans are the perfect second layer as you can button/unbutton for more or less coverage. And a chance to show off hand dyed yarn is always in season.
For this sweater, I wanted to create a wearable piece with details like cables and an icord edging on the scooped neckline to keep the knitting interesting and give the finished item a neat and elegant look. By holding fingering weight yarn doubled but on a large-ish needle, we get a cardigan that is super lightweight, not too warm, and quick to knit. The yellow sample is cropped length but instructions are included on making a full length sample like the gray version.
Finished Size 32 (36, 40, 44) 48, 52, 56, 60, 64 bust/chest circumference. Yellow sweater shown in 40” with 2” of positive ease.
