This pattern uses a modified Japanese lace stitch that creates scalloped ripples in the fabric, intarsia for a border, and garter ridges to divide sections of color.

Special stitches include the s2p1p (slip 2 from the back, purl 1, then pass the slipped stitches over the worked stitch), which acts as a double decrease on the wrong side.
