All the B's
Sock Madness isn’t madness without mad socks, and these definitely match that description. First I wanted to call them “Not enough Beads” because I actually ran out of beads on my first prototype, but then I decided to add a few bumps and bobbles instead of the beads. So why not a mini amount of brioche to complete the B collection? Beads, bobbles, brioche and bumps!!! But have no fear, all of these exciting B things aren’t really as difficult as they sound, so get out your needles and beads and join me in the fun!
The pattern will be available to the general public after the end of the competition somewhere around mid-June 2021.
The original pattern has charts for the leg, heel flap and foot with pastel colours to indicate the different cables.
Should this be a problem, there will be an extra document available with the charts fully in Black and White and more page filling size. This is not the complete pattern, you will still need to refer to the original pattern for the rest of the instructions.
And for the knitters who absolutely cannot work with charts at all, I have spent a good morning working out another 8 page document where all the charts are fully written out. Again, this is only the chart instructions, the rest of the pattern is on the original file. Should you use these instructions, I must warn you to read my notes and compare the first round to the chart for sure. (and it could be wise to place stitch markers).
The only reason that this is possible is due to the fact that my Chart maker software has a new function that automatically detects repeats when forming the written instructions. I have not knit the socks following the written instructions myself.
Big thanks to Stitch Fiddle for making this possible!
For any knitters joining later, there is a Q&A forum thread with lots of information, including a video link for how to knit the first bumps
