About All the pretty texture sweater

It’s a warm, casual, fitted sweater that you can easily dress up. A stitch sampler with all sort of textures that will never bore you. It uses flo, blo, 3rd loop, front and back post stitches, bean st, bead st, waffle st, moss st, and more!

This is a written pattern that is worked top down, both in rows and in rounds, seamlessly, the only sewing involved is to add the buttons that give it a touch of flare.

Difficulty: intermediate.

It has been tested, so you won’t run across errors, but should you need pattern support, you can find my contact info in the pattern and on my designer page :)

Yarn substitution:

If you plan on substituting the recommended yarn, please make sure the m/gr (yd/oz) ratio is similar. The recommended yarn is categorized as a 2 weight but it’s on the thinner side, closer to a 1 weight, so a thicker 2 weight can throw off the size and your garment will end up bigger. If you want to use a thicker 2 weight, I highly recommend that you go for a size smaller in the pattern than you normally use.

How to get the ratio: Ice Yarns Baby merino soft has 175m/50gr, or 191yds/1.76oz, which gives you a ratio of 3.5 when you take the length and divide it by the weight. If the yarn you want to use gives you a number higher than 3.5, it means the yarn is thinner, if that number is lower, it means the yarn is thicker.

With this in mind, look for a yarn that has a ratio that ranges from 3.3 to 3.7. It’s easier to meet and maintain gauge when you use a thinner yarn by changing your hook or loosening your tension.

Thank you for your support! Enjoy ;)
