All the Right Angles Cowl
This is a diagonally knit cowl, knitted flat and joined later with a Kitchener st.. The edges are done with a garter stitch I cord bind off. The yardage is a guess, I used some samples I had of alpaca and had leftovers from the 100 yd or hanks. A small gradient yarn kit, or some coordinating leftovers will be pretty too. I doubled the fingering weight contrasting color so the garter ridges are a bit thicker, but it works just as well with sport weight.
This pattern is easy to adjust. Just do more stitches to begin with if you want it wider, or do it in worsted weight and fewer stitches.
