ALL THE SOCKS dk
In this sock recipe you can find instructions to knit top-down vanilla socks in sizes ranging from baby to adult! “vanilla socks” means that the socks are knitted fully in stockinette, all knitted stitches. This is a similar recipe as for the ALL THE SOCKS light, only these socks are knitted in dk weight yarn. The “general” sizes are given, but it is also explained how to make the perfect fitting socks based on your foot size. Based on your foot circumference and your stitch gauge you determine how many stitches to cast on. You don’t your gauge? No problem, after knitting a small bit of the leg portion, you can adjust your total number of stitches so your sock will fit you best, or start over, whatever you prefer. Cast on numbers are provided for different dk weight stitch gauges. In this sock recipe you will knit a slip stitch heel flap, a heel turn and gusset. Also, multiple sizes are given for the heel flap and it is explained how to measure your heel height. It is important to note that mostly the general steps are given for how to knit your socks, you can look up all the numbers you need in the tables given at the end. There are a lot of patterns out there explaining step by step how to knit a particular size sock, so there’s no point repeating all of that. With this sock recipe I would like to make it accessible for everyone to make socks with a great fit, and make your socks more perfect that they already are!
